Washington Street Community Center, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization that develops comprehensive programs for youth and adults that emphasize health, education and welfare.


Washington Street Community Center develops programs by which area residents, through self-help and overall community empowerment, improve the quality of their economic and social participation in community life. Programs are developed that address public awareness of core problems that affect our community such as literacy, school drop outs, crime, unemployment, and other social and economic at-risk behaviors and life styles. The Center not only identify and bring together organizations and individuals to examine the social and economic challenges, but mobilize public, local government and private support for new policies and program initiatives.

Summer enrichment camp

Dates: June 6th - 24th

Time: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (Daily)

Location Porterdale Elementary School

Activities Include: ELA, Math, Science, Computer Technology, Wildlife Adventures, Field Trips, Zumba, Basketball and Arts 'N Crafts.

You must register online with the link below.  Camp costs are free if you qualify.  Hurry, SPACE IS LIMITED.  Registration closes May 6th, 2022
